The YB10 is technically very similar to the YB8 models. For example, the frame is identical and therefore carries the same numbers (YB8 0xxxx). The engine is still sourced from the FZR 1000 Exup and delivers 145 hp.
The main difference lies in ergonomics. With the YB10, Bimota introduces a sport-touring motorcycle with a slightly more upright riding position. The clip-on handlebars are mounted above the triple clamp, making them 2 cm higher, while the footpegs and seat are also positioned 1.5 cm and 2 cm higher, respectively. The monocoque and full fairing were redesigned to match these changes.

Technical differences from the YB8 can be found in the suspension, where the rear central shock absorber, with adjustable preload as well as rebound and compression damping, has 10 mm more travel. At the front, a 40 mm Marzocchi upside-down fork is used.
The braking system, supplied by Brembo, features two floating discs at the front with a diameter of 320 mm and 4-piston calipers, and a fixed 230 mm disc with a 2-piston caliper at the rear.
