At the EICMA in November 2022, Bimota presented the third model since the start of the cooperation with Kawasaki. In contrast to all previous models, it is largely based on a production motorcycle, the successful KX450 competition machine from Kawasaki. Apart from the Arrows muffler, an 18″ instead of 19″ rear wheel and adapted software on the control unit, the BX and KX are technically identical.
Visually, the BX differs in that it has a larger tank, an adapted seat, front mask with headlight, taillight with license plate holder and a paint job in the Italian national colors. The otherwise usual Bimota refinements with high-quality components made of milled aluminum and carbon are not found on the BX.

With electric starter, battery and lighting, the dry weight is just over 110 kg. The chassis consists of a 49 mm Showa upside-down fork with 305 mm travel and a central shock absorber with 307 mm travel, both adjustable in rebound and compression. In addition, the rear spring base can be adjusted.
According to a Bimota press release for EICMA 2022 „the most incredible Enduro model“ will be produced in limited numbers and completes the 2023 model range. The number of units of the BX that will be produced remains open. Sales will be made through the Kawasaki dealer network.
Despite lighting and classification in the EURO 5 emissions standard, the BX450 will remain a pure sports machine without road approval at least in the EU because it does not have ABS. This means that the DBX presented in 2012 remains the only Bimota that can also be used off-road.
