At EICMA 2012 in Milan, Bimota presented the two-seater variant of the Tesi 3D. The rear section was completely redesigned to accommodate the passenger seat. The Zard under-seat exhaust system, which dominates the rear of the Monoposto 3D, was replaced by a conventional 2-in-1 system from Arrow. A new steel tube subframe, bolted to the main frame plates, supports the two-seat configuration.
Parallel to this, Bimota introduces the two-seater Tesi 3D Naked, expanding the Tesi lineup with a model featuring a more relaxed riding position. Instead of clip-on handlebars, a conventional one-piece handlebar is installed, and the seat height is lowered to 780 mm.
To mark the brand’s 40th anniversary, 18 units of the Naked model are released as a special „40th Anniversary“ edition, featuring a red-white-green paint scheme, black anodized Omega plates, and golden OZ wheels.

The Biposto was offered from 2013 at a price of €29,990. The Tesi 3D Monoposto remained in the lineup, now listed at €28,990.

The two-seater Tesi also impressed in a test conducted by the German Motorrad magazine, published in issue 18/2013:
„With a wheelbase of just 1,390 mm, the bike is outrageously short, the weight distribution is well-balanced, and the low weight—brochure specifications claim 170 kg dry—promises enchanting handling. And indeed, from the very first meter, it is astonishing how effortlessly it moves. Almost intuitively, it follows the rider’s commands on the wide handlebar. The Bimota Tesi 3D is a nimble, agile cornering machine that craves to be thrown from one lean angle to the next with enthusiasm.“

In 2019 and 2020, a „Final Edition“ is produced, consisting of 45 units built from remaining stock and equipped with the 95 hp engines of the „old“ Euro 3-homologated 1100cc Ducati V2 from the first series. Consequently, they could only be sold in countries like Japan, the USA, or the UK, where the new, stricter emission regulations had not yet been introduced.
Over 14 years, a total of 268 Tesi 3D units are produced, distributed across five models as follows:
- Tesi 3D – 123 units
- Tesi 3D Evo – 32 units
- Tesi 3D Naked – 50 units
- Tesi 3D Naked 40th Anniversary – 18 units
- Tesi 3D Naked Final Edition – 45 units
